Hug for our Heroes The Away Resorts Hardship Fund Application Form Step 1 of 6 16% BackgroundThe Away Resorts Hardship fund has been set up and financed by the directors of Away Resorts taking a cut in salary for 3 months. It is intended to help our Holiday Heroes who may suffer hardship as a result of the current Coronavirus pandemic and the implications on their earnings of the need to close our parks. It will be managed and administered by Helen and Greg. All applications will be considered against the priorities and criteria set out below on a weekly basis and gifts will be distributed the following week.Eligibility and PrioritiesYou must be employed by Away Resorts when applying for a gift and continue to be employed when any gift is made When considering applications: We will prioritise gifts on the basis of need We will consider level of net disposable income We will usually prioritise families over individuals We will prioritise applications for gifts that will make the most difference to basic needs What we can help withThis list is not exhaustive but is intended to give examples: A one-off gift towards living costs due to a loss of income as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic A regular (but time limited) gift to supplement lost income as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic A gift for unexpected, essential costs during the Coronavirus pandemic Essential costs you can’t meet due to a loss of income such as the repair of an essential item Essential white goods: washing machine, fridge, cooker etc. where it can’t be repaired A gift towards funeral expenses Bed and bedding Baby equipment Baby and children’s clothes What we can't help withAgain, not an exhaustive list: Unspecified costs (if you just ask for an amount and don’t say what it’s for) Repayment of loans Bankruptcy petition fees Holidays Solicitors Fees Non-essential computer equipment The privacy stuffThe funds are limited, and we want to ensure that we help our Holiday Heroes who most need it, so we may need to ask some very personal questions. Please rest assured that the information you provide will be used in connection with the application only. It will not be shared, recorded or stored for any reason other than the management of the hardship fund.
